Episode 9 - Gay Savvy

Episode 9 delivers you another 'Burke'less edition (sigh) but never fear we have the witty, young, funky Emskies from Unlikely Superheroes stepping up to the plate along with Spencer and Lucious L discussing her band Unlikely Superheroes and other fun projects. We also talk to new Kiwi sensation Kimbra! Leather Pride too commenced last Sunday that Bootco stops by to discuss all. We also discuss 'This Is Oz' campaign as well as our New Zealand themed top 5. Plus several other funsies including a phone call with Dktr Burke.

Episode 8 - Gay Savvy

Gay Savvy broadcasts live from the Brisbane Rally for Marriage Equality held by Equal Love. We speak to Emma Dean who is a local Brissie diva in the muso scene as well as playing the lead in Caberet as Sally Bowles, we also speak to activist as well as posterboy from the infamous Rip and Roll Adshell bus shelter ad; Michael O'Brien. We also talk about Penny Wong's latest news with fellow Gay Savvy friends live at the rally. We also give the listeners a feel on what it is like to be amongst the rally pride in Brisbane. Plus great tunes. Treat yourself already people!

Episode 7 - Gay Savvy

It's Episode 7, and Gay Savvy is amongst Radiothon for 4ZzZfm. It's time to subscribe y'all. The theme this year is 'Streets of our Town' so Gay Savvy brings to you the Queer Streets of Our Town talking to queer friendly artists among the community who (ironically) play on the streets of our town. We speak to Stephen Carmichael, Jules Woo and Chad St James to name a few.
We are also amongst the equal love rally for gay marriage equality. We speak to Kat the ringleader of equal love and inform all about what to do and whats expected and what ahead. See you at the rally this Saturday 13 August please!!!

Episode 6 - Gay Savvy

In Episode 6, the Splendour in the Grass Special, Spencer reports in from Woodforde, and speaks with Foster the People. We are joined in the studio by Craig Rossiter, Luke Mayze and Guy Edmond (best known as portraying Timothy Conigrave in Holding the Man on stage) who are the writer, director and star of the upcoming short film "The Silver Stiletto" about a vigilante drag-queen superhero.  Luscious & Burke discuss the detailed science behind what makes an epic Power Balad in this week's Top 5.  And support those who support Savvy... radiothon is here, pledge to zed digital!  Laughs and music a plenty... don't forget to tune in!

Episode 5 - Gay Savvy

This week The Doctor’s Wife himself joins Spencer, Luscious L and Dktr Burke to discuss the upcoming fundraising screening with GLWA, with Gay Savvy having two double passes to give away!  We also speak with Joseph from the Heart of Gold Project in Melbourne, a support network and safe space for teenagers coming out, a great example of inspirational youth.  Tom and Anthea, creative team behind the current production of Speaking in Tongues at Metro Arts drop by to talk about this excellent show, we discuss being "out" at work, and Luscious and KC engaged in some lesbian chat, including upcoming events at Scarlett. Episode 4 - Gay Savvy

Four, not only is it a motzkin number,  also the number of this Episode!  We read from the "Gospel of Gaga",  self-acceptance and belief from the doyan of pop culture.  Andrew from GLWA then joins us to talk about GLWA's services, upcoming events, before the panel discuss their own journey's of self-discovery and coming out.  We then get a little lighter, with Luscious L chatting with Martin Crewes, star of Dr Zhivago, delving into our weekly Top 5, before Spencer rounding out the show interviewing emerging pop sensation James Varnish.  Listen up...!

Episode 3 - Gay Savvy
